Patricia Bishop was born and bred in London but has lived in various places since - Cornwall, Kent, Surrey and now Gloucestershire. She has been published in many magazines and anthologies and her work has been read on Radio 4 and various local radio stations. She has taken part in many poetry festivals throughout the country. For almost five years she was poet in residence to Penwith Libraries. She helped organise one of the St. Ives Festivals and, for many years, regularly took part in this event. As well as a number of minor prizes, she came second in the National Poetry Competition, won a BBC/Arts Council award, as a result of this, she read her work on Radio 3. More recently her poems were displayed on the sides of a dustcart as it did its rounds through the Cotswolds. This was an Arts Council/ Penwith D.C. award. She has also taken part in a TW film. |
