Thelma Laycock lives in Leeds. She was on the editorial board of Aireings for many years and later started her own magazine, Gabriel, which she published for eight years.
Thelma has three pamphlets published and two full poetry collections published by Indigo Dreams Publishing, A Persistence of Colour (2011) and A Difference in Direction (2015). Some poems have been translated into Hebrew, Italian, Romanian.
In the 1990s, she worked as a volunteer on Indian Reservations in South Dakota and Arizona from which experiences she drew much inspiration for her poetry.
