Born 1949 in London, Rod Riesco has gradually moved northward and now lives in Lancashire. He works full-time as a freelance translator and has been Secretary of Bank Street Writers, Bolton, since 1994 and runs regular workshops for this group, all of which leaves little time for writing poetry, but he has had work published in various magazines and anthologies over the years.
