Jean Harrison biography
Jean Harrison (at 5th April 2020, supplied by Jane Routh):
After retirement she took time getting used to North Yorkshire after many other places – Kent, Warwick, Ghana, Leeds, Birmingham, Ghana, Watford, Exeter. She wrote steadily and had work published in a variety of magazines. Her first collection, Junction Road, came out from Cinnamon Press in 2009, followed by Terrain in 2012. Cinnamon also published her novels, On a Wandering Planet and Fern Hedge.
Jean’s most recent publication was The Tilt, a Wayleave Press pamphlet. Her poem, Woman on the Moon was short-listed for the 2004 Forward Prize for best poem, and others have been commended in several competitions. She enjoyed reading, walking and watching insects.
