Caviar

There’s something

fishy about you

carp,  perch,  pike

You slither in

the murk

on the surface

friendly enough

A damp cell

clammy skin

Even on top

of sky-rise

you still reek

of basement

The earth at

the bottom

of ponds

suits you best

Spitting sprats

through clench

Submerged before

the emerging

fanfare

Almighty womb

slipping caviar.
