Susan Jane Sims has been passionate about poetry since childhood and her work has appeared widely in magazines and anthologies. In 2010 she founded Poetry Space, a publishing platform for new and established poets.
A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a member of Lapidus, Susan believes in the power of poetry to transform individual lives and influence change in society. As a member of Second Light Network of women poets and a member of Bath Poetry Cafe, she is currently developing an interest in poetry for performance. She has appeared at festivals in Bath and Penzance, and has broadcast her work on the radio.
Susan’s own collections are Irene’s Daughter, a pamphlet published by Poetry Space Ltd in 2010 and A number of things you should know, published in 2015 by Indigo Dreams Publishing.
Every Autumn Susan goes into primary schools with the Threshold Prize initiative. She is available for workshops with both adults and children, happy to be asked to judge poetry competitions and available for readings.
