We all turn to poetry at some time in our lives.  Even the classical poets wrote just for themselves or for friends at significant times, be they joyful or difficult.  No subject out of bounds, no bounds to poets' empathy or imagination.  And we generally love a challenge and have a wealth of expertise to be called on.

As well as taking commissions to write poems, which Members were invited to submit for, poetry p f published a range of Poem Cards for specific events or Anytime, beginning with a 12 poets Christmas Card set in 2006 and followed by many others, mostly sold through the poetry p f online shop and at events. Several artists were commissioned  to produce designs, including Russi Dordi, Carole Humphreys, Martin Parker (Silbercow) and Simon Turvey, and the poets were paid royalties. As at mid-2024, some cards had previously been withdrawn when sold out, and sales, though they never reached great numbers,  had significantly diminished and so the cards were removed from public sale but enquiries as to the availability of any last remaining stocks are welcome.
