in just this way.
Eight musicians
in the town square.
People arrive
a few at a time
join hands
and begin dancing.
Four steps to the left
four to the right.
Hands held high
in a flower pattern.
Little by little
more come
to join the circles
and dance gravely
until at the end
with hands held high
in a flower pattern
the whole world dances
to eight musicians
in the town square.
