Maria Apichella lives near Cambridge. She completed her PhD in English and Creative Writing at The University of Aberystwyth in Wales where she lived for ten years. She teaches writing with the University of Maryland, University College, Europe.
Her collection Psalmody won the Melita Hume Prize 2015. Her pamphlet Paga was a winner of the Cinnamon Press Pamphlet competition 2014.
Other publications include poems in Scintilla: The Vaughan Association, New Welsh Review, Envoi, Magma, The Ofi Press, The Literary Bohemian and The James Dickey Review. Poems in anthologies include The Book of Euclid, 2013 and Reaching Out by Cinnamon Press and The Poet’s Quest for God: 21st Century Poems of Spirituality, Eyewear Publishing.
