Katrina Naomi won the 2008 Templar Poetry Competition and the 2008 Ledbury Festival Text Poem Contest. Her first pamphlet, Lunch at the Elephant & Castle is published by Templar Poetry www.templarpoetry.co.uk. She has had poems in Magma, Orbis, South, The Interpreter's House and nth position (forthcoming). She regularly reads her work and is performing at the Derwent Poetry Festival, at Loose Muse and The Shuffle at London’s Poetry Café, and at the 2008 Aldeburgh Poetry Festival, among other events. She recently completed her dissertation for an MA in Creative and Life Writing at Goldsmiths, and is working on a first full-length collection for 2009. Katrina is originally from Margate and lives in south London. Katrina has received an Arts Council England writing award for 2008-9 and a
Hawthornden Fellowship for 2009. |
