Eleanor Livingstone’s first full collection, Even the Sea (Red Squirrel Press), was shortlisted for the 2010 inaugural London New Poetry award. In 2023 Red Squirrel Press brought out a new short collection of her poems, Surprising the Misses McRuvie, and at the same time re-issued an edited version of Even the Sea. Her other publications include two pamphlets from Happenstance Press, The Last King of Fife and A Sampler, and as editor, Skein of Geese, Migraasje, Bridging the Continental Divide, Necessarily Looking Backward and The Arch.

Selections of her poems have been translated into seven other languages. She has read at festivals across Europe and her work has appeared in journals and anthologies in Europe and the USA.

Eleanor Livingstone lives in Fife where she has worked as a paralegal and creative writing tutor. In 2005 she was appointed Artistic Director of StAnza, Scotland’s International Poetry Festival, and she then became StAnza’s Festival Director from 2010 until she stepped down in 2021.
