Eleanor Cooke has published five collections of poetry, several short stories, and has written for radio and the stage. She has worked in schools, colleges, university departments, galleries, libraries and in the community. She has four children, and lives with her husband, the artist Hugh Child, in South-West Cheshire. She is currently working on a new collection.
I heard my lady weepe is a study of English lutenists of the Golden Age, commissioned by The Tern Press in 2007 Secret Files (Cape Poetry, 1994) is out of print but may be available in second hand bookshops. ISBN 1-3579108-64-2
